I have to admit that I have a birthday gift trauma:

Have you ever been the person that bought the same present as two other guests? And were the third person to hand it to your best friend? Then I know how you feel. I had saved my money to afford it and I was so upset. Marion still did appreciate it and tried to comfort me though.

Now, whenever I can, I try to avoid that scenario and give something that is unique or has at least some kind of personal touch to it. Like this Animation Video for Eva’s 30th birthday:

This Happy Birthday Video is (almost) made completely from scratch:
I drew the pictures and scanned them. And then I put them together into a Stopmotion Animation Video. For the music I connected my E-Piano to my laptop and recorded every instrument individually.

What I did not create: I did not write the song „Happy Birthday“ or compose the songo rhythm. 😉
